GN Solids Control has recently delivered a Vertical Cuttings Dryer and Decanter Centrifuge Unit, mounted on a telescopic skid, to an African waste management company. This equipment is designed to enhance the efficiency of drilling mud treatment processes.
The Vertical Cuttings Dryer operates at a rotation speed of up to 900 RPM, generating a G-force of 420, and features an oil tank capacity of 48 liters. It is equipped with an air knife input pressure of 0.41 Mpa. This technology effectively reduces the oil content on cuttings (OOC) to as low as 5%, thereby minimising environmental impact and waste disposal costs. Additionally, it facilitates the recovery of drilling fluids, leading to significant operational savings.

The Decanter Centrifuge complements the dryer by separating fine solids from the drilling fluid, resulting in a cleaner fluid that can be recirculated into the active drilling system. This process not only enhances drilling efficiency but also reduces the volume of waste generated.
The integration of these units on a telescopic skid offers operational flexibility, allowing for easy transportation and installation across various drilling sites. This modular design ensures that waste management companies can adapt quickly to different project requirements, optimising their operations and reducing downtime.
