GN Separation has successfully completed the production and factory testing of an engineering slurry dewatering system for an overseas client. The system comprises the GNLW654-VFD decanter centrifuge and the GNSJY2000 chemical dosing unit, designed to enhance the efficiency of solid-liquid separation in drilling mud treatment.
The GNLW654-VFD decanter centrifuge features a bowl diameter of 650 mm and utilises a dual-motor setup for robust performance. Its 8.5-degree beach angle extends the drying section, facilitating the discharge of drier solids. Equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control cabinet, the centrifuge allows for precise adjustment of rotational speed to accommodate varying operational conditions. This adaptability is crucial for processing drilling mud with diverse solid particle sizes and densities.

Complementing the centrifuge, the GNSJY2000 chemical dosing unit automates the preparation and dosing of flocculants, such as polyacrylamide (PAM). Its compact design includes a three-chamber system for stirring, dissolving, and storing flocculants, ensuring consistent dosing to the centrifuge. This integration enhances the aggregation of fine particles, improving the separation efficiency of the centrifuge.

The combined system is particularly effective in treating drilling mud by reducing moisture content in the discharged solids and recovering reusable fluids. This not only minimises waste disposal costs but also aligns with environmental regulations by facilitating the reuse of drilling fluids.
The shipment of this dewatering system underscores GN Separation's commitment to providing tailored solutions for complex material processing challenges in the drilling industry. The equipment is scheduled for delivery to the client's site in the coming weeks.
