GN Solids Control has recently supplied a comprehensive solids control decanter centrifuge unit to a European drilling company, enhancing their operations in challenging terrains where trailer access is limited. The equipment package includes a decanter centrifuge with a variable frequency drive (VFD) control panel, a height adjustable centrifuge skid and a screw pump.
The decanter centrifuge is engineered to efficiently separate solids from drilling fluids, ensuring the recycling of clean fluids and reducing waste. The accompanying VFD control panel allows operators to adjust the centrifuge's speed and torque, optimising performance based on varying drilling conditions. This adaptability is crucial for maintaining efficiency across different projects.
The inclusion of a height adjustable facilitates the safe and straightforward installation and maintenance of the centrifuge, even in remote locations where traditional equipment may be inaccessible. Additionally, the screw pump is designed to handle high-concentration slurries, effectively transferring drilling fluids from pits to the centrifuge. Its vertical, single-stage design and abrasion-resistant alloy construction ensure durability and reliability in demanding environments.
This equipment package is particularly beneficial for drilling operations in areas with unsealed roads, where transporting large trailers is impractical. The compact and robust design of the centrifuge unit allows for easier deployment and operation in such challenging terrains, ensuring continuous and efficient solids control processes.
By integrating these components, the European drilling company can expect improved drilling fluid management, reduced environmental impact, and enhanced operational efficiency, even in the most demanding field conditions.
