GN Solids Control is proud to announce the successful delivery of a complete shale shaker and mud cleaner package for an offshore drilling platform project. The equipment was specifically engineered to meet the demanding requirements of offshore operations, where high performance, compact design, and corrosion resistance are essential.
The shale shaker supplied is GNZS594, one of GN’s most widely used linear motion shakers, designed for continuous and efficient separation of drilling cuttings from the drilling mud. This model features four vibration motors, high G-force adjustable settings, and a simple mechanism for screen replacement, allowing for maximum uptime and easy maintenance in offshore environments.
In conjunction with the shaker, GN provided a GNZJ703F-1S8N Mud Cleaner, which integrates a desander (1 × 10” cone) and desilter (8 × 4” cones) on a compact shaker deck. This configuration enables two-stage separation in a single footprint, saving space and increasing operational efficiency on the offshore platform. The mud cleaner is equipped with high-chromium casted manifolds and polyurethane hydrocyclones, ensuring durability against abrasive solids and salt-laden conditions.
All equipment was manufactured in GN’s API and ISO-certified facility, with full compliance to offshore standards, including marine coating systems, stainless steel control panels, and vibration isolation mounts for platform stability.
This delivery highlights GN’s growing presence in the offshore sector, where customers are increasingly focused on equipment reliability, efficient solids control, and reduced footprint. By offering customized solutions tailored to client-specific conditions, GN continues to support offshore drilling contractors worldwide.
With successful installations on both jack-up rigs and floating platforms, GN Solids Control has proven its ability to deliver high-performance solids control equipment that meets the environmental and operational demands of offshore drilling.
