GN Solids Control recently supplied a 5-stage solids control system for an India drilling company, designed for Coal Bed Methane (CBM) drilling operations. The system is developed to efficiently remove drilled solids from drilling mud, maintain stable mud properties, and improve mud recovery during continuous drilling operations.

The complete mud recycling system integrates multiple stages of solids separation. The first stage uses a shale shaker to remove coarse solids above approximately 100 microns. The desander provides the second stage of separation for solids above approximately 50 microns, followed by a desilter for removing solids above approximately 20 microns. As the fourth stage, a decanter centrifuge provides fine solids separation down to approximately 2–5 microns. The system also includes a mud tank, mud agitators, mud guns, mixing pumps, and transfer pumps to ensure efficient mud circulation.
GN offers complete mud recycling solutions for HDD and CBM drilling, including self-contained systems from 200 to 1,000 GPM as well as customized capacities. Compact designs, flexible skid- or trailer-mounted configurations, and quick connections make the systems convenient for transportation and field deployment.

With manufacturing facilities in China and local service capabilities in Australia and the USA, GN Solids Control provides equipment, spare parts, installation support, and technical training for drilling contractors worldwide.
